The Forgive and Live Today Campaign is a movement to promote freedom through forgiveness.  It is a call to action to inspire individuals, families, communities, and entities around the world to reconcile and come together.  Key elements of the campaign are:

Founder

​Kevin LeVar Gray is a gifted songwriter, recording artist, author, and preacher. A native to the Washington, DC Metropolitan area for over forty years, Kevin, recently moved to Frisco, Texas. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of The Glory House of Frisco, which newly opened its door in 2022.

 

Kevin has two commercially released albums Let’s Come Together (Universal Christian Music Group), and Your Destiny! Live From The Dream Center (Central South Distribution). His newest project Nothing Missing, Nothing Broken was recorded LIVE in DC and is scheduled for a Summer 2022 release. The project features the incomparable skills of drummer extraordinaire, Teddy Campbell, and was mixed by multi-Grammy Award winner John “Yosh” Jaszcz.

 

Let’s Come Together (Deluxe Edition) ranked as #3 Top Gospel CD in Jet Magazine. His singles, “You Are Not Alone” (written to encourage families impacted by the 2007 VA Tech shootings) and “A Heart That Forgives” peaked at #1 on the Gospel Music Channel. A Heart That Forgives was also featured in Robert Townsend’s “Musical Theater of Hope.” Kevin’s single, “Your Destiny” spent 32 weeks on Billboard, peaking at #7 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart, and was performed by Kevin on BET/Centric’s “Single Ladies” Season 4 Premiere episode (Executive Produced by Queen Latifah).

 

Kevin’s music motto has always been “Where the message means the most,” and his heart is to reach as many as he can. At the recording of his sophomore project, “Destiny! Live at The Dream Center,” Kevin partnered with Pastor Matthew Barnett of the Los Angeles Dream Center to bring in over 500 of the community’s recovering addicts, homeless, and rescued victims of human trafficking to be the special guests of the night. He also featured many of their voices on his song “Born To Be Great.”

With over two hundred songs in his catalog, Kevin has been awarded the certificate of Honorable Mention in the Worldwide John Lennon Songwriters Contest and his music has been recorded by Stellar, Dove, and Grammy Award-winning artists. Kevin penned and performed songs such as “Everything He Promised” with Dorinda Clark-Cole on her project The Rose of Gospel and “Amazing God” with Bishop William Murphy on his CD The Sound. Kevin has also worked with industry- acclaimed producers. His single, “Your Destiny” was produced by Harmony Samuels (Jennifer Lopez, Fantasia, Chris Brown, Ariana Grande, Ne-Yo), and his song “I Will Restore” was produced by multiple Grammy Award winner Aaron Lindsey.

 

Known primarily for his gift of song, Kevin’s writing abilities have extended beyond music composition. Kevin is the author of two books; “Destiny’s Bridge,” where he challenges his readers to Dare to Believe God, and “Don’t Let Time Fool You,” where he reminds us that no matter how long it’s been, God’s Going To Do Everything He Promised.

 

Within the film industry, Kevin played the detective partner of gospel legend, Hezekiah Walker, in the 2011 Box Office released movie “Nocturnal Agony” written/directed by Shuaib Mitchell, and starring award-winning actors Lawrence Hilton Jacobs and Vernee Watson. Kevin’s song “A Heart That Forgives” also inspired the multi-award-winning “A Heart That Forgives” movie written by Ken Jenkins and starring NAACP Image Award Nominees Charles Malik Whitfield (known for his role on the Emmy Winner “Temptations” mini-series) and Carl Anthony Payne II (known for role as Cole on the hit sitcom “Martin”).

 

Beyond music, Kevin is an artist with a cause. He is the founder of The Forgiveness Campaign, a global campaign to inspire at least One Million Acts of Forgiveness (www.theforgivenesscampaign.org). He is a recipient of the “Release Now” award, presented by Dr. Michael Barry of The Cancer Treatment Centers of America, where his song A Heart That Forgives has been used in their Forgiveness Education program. Kevin has also hosted a bi-partisan Congressional Briefing on Capitol Hill in Washington DC attended by Senators, House Representatives, and the Senate Chaplain on the topic of Forgiveness.

 

In every endeavor he pursues, Kevin’s sincerest desire is to see Jesus lifted higher. He has been married to his wife, Shondale for 11 years and is the father to an 8-year-old son and identical twin girls (age 5).
